ISLAMABAD: Nasira Anjum, customer of Imtiaz Provision Store, received the exceptional prize of Rs 1 million during the fifth computerized drawing carried out by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday.
The computerized ballot was carried out on the basis of invoices issued by the points of sale (POS) of Tier 1 retailers.

The second prize of Rs500,000 each won by Shahida Latif on the bill issued by Shaheen Chemist and Muhammad Rashid Shujja on the bill issued by Jalal Sons.
Meanwhile, four prizes of Rs 250,000 each awarded to Salman Ahmad Siddiqui, Fahim Badar, Nauman Alfred and Naila Nadeem on invoices issued by Mine Save Mart, Imtiaz Provision Store, Imtiaz Provision Store and Dwatson Chemist respectively.
This was the fifth computerized draw in the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) ongoing effort to attract people to document sales made through Tier 1 retailers.

The FBR makes a draw every 15and of the month. This month on the 15thand was Sunday, so it took place a day after. The first draw took place on January 15, 2022.
The FBR encouraged people to actively participate in the ballot to win prizes after buying from integrated retailers at the point of sale.
The FBR has previously published a procedure for participating in the award program.
The tax authority said customers of Tier 1 integrated retailers, whose names and CNICs are notified by computerized lottery, will be entitled to prizes for their purchases from Tier 1 integrated retailers.

Customers are required to check the electronically generated invoice from integrated retailers either through the “tax asaan” app or by texting the number 9966.
The app will notify the customer of the status of the invoice, either as “verified” or “unverified”.
In the case of a verified invoice, the customer must provide once, the following details to the online system, namely:- Name; CNI; and mobile number.
Customer names and CNICs will be included in the computerized draw once the requirement is met.

In the event of an unverified invoice, the customer must report it via the system. The Council must investigate and take appropriate action under the relevant provisions of the law.
The computerized drawing of prizes will take place the first week of each month at the headquarters of the FBR and the invoices of the immediately preceding month will be entered in the drawing of lots.
Sweepstakes winners will be required to complete biometric verification, at the nearest NADRA e-sahulat facility and submit a scanned copy on the “tax assan” app. After successful biometric verification, winners will be required to provide their IBAN through a “tax asaan” application.
The total amount of the prizes and the denomination of the prizes will be decided on a monthly basis by the Board of Directors.
